8U TRAINING: Week of May 18

New activity/video for steps 4 and 5, working with and without the ball.

  1. Juggling (10 min)
  2. 5 Moves (10 min)
    • Cruyff
    • Step Over
    • Zidane Spin
    • Inside/Outside
    • Stop and Go
  3. Combination Dribbling of 5 moves (5 min)
  4. Ladder Work Without Ball (5 min)
    • Round 1: No Ball - go slow enough to understand it
    • Round 2: No Ball - go fast as you can but do not time it
    • Round 3: No Ball - Fast as you can and time yourself. Repeat 3x and note your highest score
  5. Ladder Work With Ball (5 min)
    • Round 1: With Ball  - dribble through ladder and stop the ball at each cone. Perform stop and go move then push to next cone. Repeat 3x and note your highest score. Remember backwards back.
    • Round 2: With Ball - when side shuffling through cones you need to ROLL the ball with bottom of foot. Repeat 3x and note your highest score. Remember backwards back.
    • Round 3: With Ball - instead of hopping, you will do Zidane spin at each cone, alternating direction of spin at each cone. Repeat 3x and note your highest score. Remember backwards back.
    • Round 4: With Ball - dribble with only the bottom of your foot, rolling the ball entire time. Repeat 3x and note your highest score. Remember backwards back.
  6. T-Test Without Ball - Repeat 3x and note your highest score
  7. T-Test With Ball - Repeat 3x and note your highest score
  8. Rectangle Test Without Ball - Repeat 3x and note your highest score
  9. Rectangle Test With Ball - Repeat 3x and note your highest score
  10. Inside of the Foot Passing and Receiving (10 min)
  11. Juggling (10 min)

  3. Ladder Work Without Ball (5 min)
